Lived experience as both a professional sportsman and frontline police officer has shown me the value of a team, the importance of building from within, and how effective management and leadership has changed and developed over the years.
I have seen first-hand what a toxic environment does with regards to cultivating a blame culture, increased sickness, uninspired and de motivated individuals, internal conflict, and poor communication.
I have also been part of teams that are full of drive, compassion, motivation, respect, understanding and support, with a shared vision, and a can-do attitude. Team’s which knew each other’s strengths and maximized them to the fullest.
